Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Essa Kayd visits Waheen market, which was destroyed by fire on Friday
Minister Kayd returned today from the USA where he was on a working visit with H.E President Muse Bihi Abdi and a delegation of other Ministers.After landing at Egal International Airport earlier today the Minister went directly to Waahen market to get a first-hand look at the damage caused by the fire that ravaged the market on Friday, April 1st. The damage has been assessed at $1 to $2 Billion. The fire impacted not only large businesses that were operating in the market but also all the small businesses that operated in the open market.
