
His Excellency President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Irro) Concludes Historic Working Visit to the Republic of Kenya.
Hargeisa, 03 June, 2025 - During the historical visit, His Excellency Dr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi held high-level talks with His Excellency Dr. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, aimed at enhancing bilateral relations and exploring areas of mutual cooperation. These discussions focused on expanding trade and investment, strengthening educational collaboration, promoting economic development, and facilitating greater mobility for the citizens of both nations.
The two leaders reaffirmed their mutual commitment to a strong and respectful partnership grounded in shared regional priorities. They also exchanged views on key developments in the region, emphasizing the importance of peace, stability, and collaborative regional approaches.
His Excellency President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi undertook a series of successful engagements, including the formal inauguration of the Republic of Somaliland’s diplomatic mission in the Republic of Kenya; a courtesy visit to the National Assembly of Kenya, where he met with the Speaker, the Honorable Moses Masika Wetangula; interactions with the Somaliland community residing in Kenya; a meeting with the Somaliland business community in Nairobi; and constructive engagements with representatives of the international community based in Nairobi. President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi also met with Rt Hon Raila Amolo Odinga, Former Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition of the Republic of Kenya.
