Hargeisa, Somaliland, June 14, 2022. The Government of the Republic of Somaliland is disappointed about the actions taken by the Ambassador of Somalia, who today abruptly walked out of a diplomatic lunch reception. The reception was held by the President of the Republic of Kenya H.E Uhuru Kenyatta and was intended for the diplomatic community in Nairobi. The Ambassador of Somalia left due to his views on the participation of the Republic of Somaliland at the event.
Having said that, this clearly demonstrates the hatred and long-term enmity of Somalia towards the Republic of Somaliland and its people.
The Republic of Somaliland is a sovereign, independent and democratic country that aspires to live in peace and tranquility with our neighboring countries, that includes Somalia.
