Somaliland government sign an agreement with FDRE on a number of issues pertaining to trade operations.

On Thursday, July 7th, 2022 - The Somaliland government and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia agreed on a number of points pertaining to trade operations between the two countries. Both countries acknowledge the long bilateral relationship they have and have agreed to continue engagement on all fronts when it comes to the Port of Berbera as well as trade between the two countries.

This comes after an outcry from consumers on the increase of tariffs on a number of things that are imported from Ethiopia. Both parties agreed to continue working together to enhance trade operations between the two countries and will create a joint technical team to overlook all discussions surrounding the Port and trade moving forward.
